Title: Pdaxrom On C3100 - Does Is It Work

Dear All,

I have a C860 with pdaXrom working perfectly, I have all the apps I want/need and then some.  In short I am very happy with it and appreciate all the work that has gone into it.  

I am expecting a C3100 to turn up around Christmas.  I have read the article about porting pdaXrom to the C3000 which sounds troublesome.  Therefore my question is, will pdaXrom (rc12) install into flash on the C3100 and provide the same functionality as my C860 until such times as an install to the internal HDD is sorted ?  

I know it sounds like a newbie question, but I haven't seent he answer elsewhere and I don't want to brick the C3100 when it turns up if it isn't going to work.

Mmm, maybe search doesn't look at the pinned threads.
The pinned thread with the announcement of rc12 has all the info for a C3100.

It's installed into flash, it doesn't brick anything, it's just wonderfull !!

According to tracking the C3100 has just left Japan, so hopefully I will be flashing it sometime during Xmas week :-)

Search is very badly broken, for some reason it never finds the article you want no matter how you word your search

I find that using google's advanced search & specifying 'https://www.oesf.org/forums' in the domain box works wonders ;^)

Kinda non related question but I also have a SL-C860 and have been thinking of getting a SL-C3100 but other then the internal hard drive / usb features do those who upgraded  see any other significant difference?  I'm trying to justify the cost

It works beautifully.  Doesn't tie you up in hd format issues, either (thopugh fstab is a different story)
