So I just got a wireless card: zonet zcf1100 which was reported to work-- with WPA no less. It looks like it's not being autodetected however, and the networking config panel is still unhelpfully in japanese. I'm still running the stock Sharp 1.01jp rom (with some localization changes).
So I was wondering where I might find the drivers and what all I'd need to do to install them (recompile the kernel? or is it just a loadable module?). I've done some pretty basic ethernet networking on linux but haven't messed with wireless before so I'd also be interested in general (though detailed) tutorials too. My first step is to get the thing running, but after that I'd like to set WPA up so any pointers on that would be helpful as well.

look in the security and networking forum subsection, this card has been "done to death".

For those following this thread this (https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=14610) is (one of) the thread referred to. (Though it hasn't solved my problem since the Sharp rom doesn't have hostap installed...)
