Title: newbie Q: Redhat 9.1, usbdnet, USB networking
Post by: iikent on February 12, 2004, 08:41:05 am
Hello,

I\'m zaurus newbie, my PC running Redhat 9.1, kernel 2.4.20-8.
What is the fastest way for my Z to connect to internet?
I find article told me to recompile kernel with usbdnet patch.
I have tried it, but my usb mouse not working with the kernel i compiled with usbdnet patch
So i hope i can connect to Z with my original kernel.
I hope at least i can ssh from RH console to Z....

You don\'t need usbdnet - it\'s old and nasty - use usbnet (notice the missing \"d\")

You may need to update your kernel to 2.4.22+ as this already has support for the zaurus family and you don\'t need to patch.

Good luck
