Title: targus keyboard mapping
Post by: rrashkin on February 12, 2004, 10:18:42 am
Sorry if this is already posted somewhere.  I couldn\'t find it.  I just got a Targus keyboard.  Does anyone have any instructions for mapping the keyboard?  I would like to have a \"page down\", \"page up\", \"menu bar\" access.  Also, can\'t seem to work the \"Fn\" key; it always switches to appmenu.

Have the same problem on my zaurus C1000 with cacko 1.23

-Fn key switches the applications and I would like it to be as Fn key on zaurus keyboard
-key repeat doesnt work
-I want to type russian as well, but it seems that only latin is supported (I can type russian/english on zaurus keyboard)

For the "page down", "page up" use ctrl up and down.

I believe you need to install keyhelper or some such package and use that to make a custom keymapping for the external keyboard. Sorry I can't be more specific, I don't have much experience with Cacko.

Unfortunately, Fn key on Targus universal keyboard does not generate any code in keyhelper.
