Hi, Happy New Year to All.
Just got an Av500 for Christmas 2005(Ireland) , so unpacked it and looks great !!. First of all connected one of the av cables (using the scart adopter ) to the DVD (ext 1). then connected the av cable to the Tv docking pod . Next i connect the other av cable to the TV (flat screen) again using the supplied scart adoptor and connected the cable to the TV docking pod , and connect the Tv Docking pod to the power supply ( and made sure it was switched on of course) Switched the TV to the Video channel and....... nothing . I have followed the instructions on the manual as well as the display on the back of the manual making sure the cables were in the correct position and no go . I was wondering has anybody come across this problem before and maybe can direct me in some way that i can either test the docking pod seperately or the av/scart adoptors to see if they are ok. Was speaking to some one about this and they said that i have to press my AV button on the remote for my TV for this to work.
I currentily use a scart cable to connect from my DVD to my TV for vidoe channell . I also have a cable connection from my DVD to my tv.
Any help or direction pointing would be helpful ....
Regards, Jan

Hi Jan, just to make sure, the scart adaptors have IN and OUT written on them. Were they connected correctly?
"IN" to be connected to TV while "OUT" to AV output.
Cheers!

Hi Back again , Solution found !!
Spoke to a friend about my problem with the Archos docking Port and it seems that the connections to the TV and Video via the Docking Port is fine but that i needed to press the AV button (TV/Video) on my TV remote so that it would switch to allow the signal from the Docking Port to Display on the TV. It sounds a bit Da Da i know but i was assuming if things worked before using a standard Scart cable it should have worked with the new Archos docking port , oh silly me ...
thans again for people who replied .
Regards, Jan
