Title: C3100 As A Phone W/ Mobile Internet?
Post by: my3735 on January 05, 2006, 09:12:00 pm
Hello everyone, I am not a c3100 owner as of yet but I'm interested to know if anyone has managed to use theres as a phone with voip or another alternative, with capabillity to dial homes or voip connections or both? after a bit of research I found this
 http://blog.tmcnet.com/blog/tom-keating/vo...us-voip-app.asp (http://blog.tmcnet.com/blog/tom-keating/voip/sharp-zaurus-voip-app.asp)
wich seems like a clever alternative to use the zaurus in a cell phone like way, with the addition of sprints network and the CF card to connect to sprint, is it possible or likely to enable sprint cdma internet connection along with voip capabillity on the zaurus through sprint, without wifi networking/lan-line etc just sprint connection.

I'm interested in a method of using a c3100 as a cell phone to call non-voip phones, as well as a method to connect it to sprints data network for internet browsing at the same time, any tips/hints/methods are highly appreciated.

also will that zaurus voip program work with the c3100 ?

I use kphone on my 6000 or C860 and Asterisk on my Linux server where there is a $10 card off eBay. This allows me to make calls from anywhere in the world that has a wireless connection, using my home phone line. I can also answer my home phone should I want to.
