Title: Ok Who Turned Out The Lights?
Post by: bluedevils on January 19, 2006, 03:18:53 pm
I assumed it did because it was the only site that I could not reach.  I don't recall anything about maintenance.

I had the same problem. Glad to see it's back.

I just found out about the issue about an hour ago.  We're on a dedicated server now so it shouldn't have to do with overtaxing a shared server anymore.  As far as I could tell all of my services were down (email, etc.).

I'll find out what happened from dreamhost and post an update here when I get the answers.

Sorry for the interruption!

That's certainly one of the more... creative ways to get an outage

Nah, he mistakenly put his site hosting zaurus in portrait mode, and suddenly all script file paths changed to portrait mode too and apache couldn't find them.

landscape:
/root
/usr
/bin
/home/httpd/oesf

portrait
/home/bin/usr/root
/httpd
/oesf
