I read, printed, and re-read the instructions (from Trisoft) for getting Intellisync to work on my C3100.
I have the software setup correctly, but am having a problem with windows and the Sharp drivers
I noticed that every time I plug in my Zaurus, Windows wants to install the drivers, even though I've installed them 10 or more times.
I've looked in device manager, using show hidden items, and I enclosed 2 screenshots of what is occurring.
When I checked the properties of each of these 2 drivers, I found that microsoft has REPLACED them with their own version. So I updated them with the SHARP ones on the Sharp CD.
The first pic is just after install of Sharp drivers.
The second pic is after I reboot my machine.
The second pic shows that SL series Ver3 (NDIS 5) - Packet Scheduler Miniport is disabled. Properties of this disabled device is as follows:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SL series Ver3 (NDIS 5) - Packet Scheduler Miniport
Device type: Network adapters
Manufacturer: SHARP CORPORATION
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What can I do to make these drivers stay in my windows machine?
Also, I've never got telnet to open the port on my Zaurus: 192.168.129.201
I have SNPLCEXE in the exceptions in my firewall, it popped up and I enabled it to connect thru the firewall.
I couldn't get it to connect with the entire firewall turned off either.
Thank you,
Jon

Hi,
I have a brand new sl-C1000 with still the Japanese original OS on it. I also tried to sync with Windows XP using TCP/IP via telnet (using same TriSoft instruction) and never could get it to work. I set it up correctly on the Zaurus and I installed the drivers from the Japanese CD and also each time I turn on my laptop, Windows keep trying to re-install its own drivers.
So I have the exact same problem. There must be a simple solution.
Anybody out there knows?
Basically I just want to transfer file easily from my laptop to the SL-C1000 without having to use a CF card reader/writer.
I do not have Terminal yet, because I can connect the Zaurus to the laptop and do not have a card reader/writer.
Maybe the telnet deamon is not on on the Zaurus, is this possibly the reason I can not telnet?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Bernard

If you just want to access your SD/CF card as a USB device, then you don't need to install any extra drivers on WinXP. The winxp drivers (generic usb disk) will work. You only need to install the Sharp drivers if you want to enable tcp/ip over usb (sharp ndis drivers does this).
As for telnet, the stock japanese rom in japanese does not have telnet enabled by default. you will need to edit inetd.conf on your zaurus to enable telnet. the trisoft shipped zauri have telnet enabled by default.
