I'm trying to get a good financial app going on the zaurus and the best one I have found (grisbi) seems to be compiled for pdaxrom. Do packages for pdaxrom work under x/qt or are they entirely different? I don't want to ditch the sharp rom because it has great japanese support (I am studying japanese) but on the other hand there seem to be a lot of usefull applications on pdaxrom.
About x/qt, is it possible to have it installed on the internal hard drive of my 3100 without repartitioning and reflashing. I don't have enough space for it in the 91Mb of internal flash.

If you use Meanie's cramfs version of X/Qt (and you can get a bundle of apps with it) you can install it on the hard drive. I can't answer your other question.

Thanks, I was looking at that a while ago and must have missed how to get it on hard drive. I'll take another look.

Meanie has made it quite simple to install XQt, see his site: http://www.users.on.net/~hluc/myZaurus/jumbo/xqtjumbo.html (http://www.users.on.net/~hluc/myZaurus/jumbo/xqtjumbo.html)
The XQt packages live quite well on the internal harddisk because they are in CRAMFS images.
And Meanie has even put Grisbi amongst the X-applications. (Since you are a US user, just beware you will have to get used to D/M/Y format for dates since I haven't found a way to change it).
The only downside of XQT is that it will run a bit slower for Xapps than pdaXrom -- but you do get to have the qtopia and sharp ROM apps.
