Title: Backlight Flickering
Post by: silencer51 on February 02, 2006, 05:46:48 pm
Something weird I noticed today.

While working with battery power the backlight flickers especially when theres hdd activity.

It's really bothersome.

Anyone else notice this? It happens on all backlight levels.

P.S. It seems to also be related to cpu activity...

I've noticed the same on my 3000 when the HD was active.. it must be some kind of interference.. At first I tought it was my AC charger that was slowly killing my Z..

Yep, same thing with my C860 and beta1 pdaxrom.
Anyone find how to fix it?

hmmm... no problem for me. in beta4 also overclocking for the first time on zaurus doesnt affect the display (no distortions or interferences).

Maybe a solution would be to change the COM ADJ settings in the D+M Menu.
After installing the new bootloader for beta4 it seems that the settings for my LCD got lost (i saw this "ghost windows" again... in D+M menu I saw that this settings were at default again).

I'm seeing this with gpe on a c860, and I agree it seems to be related to cpu activity.  Happened first when installing from the packages manager.
