Title: My C3100 Arrived Today But...

Hello!

My C3100 arrived today but I want to install another rom like OZ, cacko or pdaxrom and I have a little problem because I want to save my actual rom (sharp rom translated to english) because i will need the japanese translator and dictionary.

Is there any posibility to make a backup and put the actual rom in the future like now??

If it's like the C3000, it may have come with a couple CDs.  The dictionary files were the second of my CDs.

Yes, I have 3 CDs.

And this diccionary and translator will work with another ROM? If they don't work how I can reinstall the actual rom that works with the diccionary?

there is a backup image at trisoft.de

look around a bit and you'll find all the info you need somewhere on the forums here.

do a NAND backup which will take a snapshot of your current files, settings,etc.. that are on the flash which is about everything except the contents of /hdd3 (the internal harddisk). The contents of that is on the 3 CDs. You might want to connect your Zaurus to a PC and make a copy of all those files if you are paranoid.

I'm curious about this too, but I assume the cacko rom is the most likely to be able to install it.  It is just the sharp rom modified.
