Title: Prevent accidentially turned on when keys randomly hit
Post by: ralph on February 16, 2004, 12:11:22 am
My phone has keyguard to prevent accidential key hits when in a pocket.  Would it be possible to write a program that prevents the unit from turning on unless you hit two keys together?  This is to avoid unnecessary battery drain.   For example, this would be for the SL-5x00 series.

There is a program called ResumeGuard which counts down a pre-set number of seconds before shutting the Zaurus computer off if the Cancel button is not pressed:

I\'ve wondered how security personnel at airports would react when they saw a Zaurus SL-5500 turn on and saw a countdown timer set to 3 seconds.  They would see 3...2...1, then the screen would blank.
