I've set a root password, but I'm wondering what other changes do users need to make to a pdaXrom Beta1 install inorder for it to be safe, sitting open on the internet.
I'm guessing some people's responses might be... If you don't know if your machine is safe on the internet then learn how to make it safe or put it behind a firewall. Fair enough... but I would be interested in hearing what people had done to secure their machines. I think we will all benefit from that info.

actually setting the root password might make your Z less safe on the internet because
without password you cannot log through ssh
You could install the iptables package and configure a firewall on your Z.
I'm not sure if someone monitors the security advice of the applications running on his Z or if the kernel used has security flaws and is open to remote attack...
