I'm wanting to get Picsel Browser for my C3100. I have it on my Palm, and it works great.
I tried Conics earlier last month to buy my C3100, but they don't accept money orders.
I don't use credit cards, and only have a savings account, so paypal isn't an option either.
It comes on a Panasonic brand 512mb SD card. Anyone know where I can buy this?
I have the version that works on my Palm.
It came from a samsung phone, but I have no clue as to how to "convert" it to Linux. It's a *.prc file.
Thank you,
Jon

Nevermind, Stephen at http://www.streamlinecpus.com/ (http://www.streamlinecpus.com/) is going to order one for me

I bought it through Conics last year - very fast work on their part. Picsel is an amazing piece of software, and far better than the versions available for the Palms.
But unless something has changed, it came on a 256MB, not a 512MB card.

It's on a 512mb card now:

Stephen at StreamlineCPUs says he'll order one for me. I can send them a money order.
Other suppliers don't seem to accept money orders.
The version I have on my Palm isn't exactly made for a Palm. It was hacked off a Chinese Samsung phone, then some ppl at an unamed forum hacked the binary and substituted Chinese to English in the menus and dialogs. It's ver 1.03
There is also a little prog called Picselaccelerator that really speeds it up by disabling background processes while the browser is running.

What's wrong with them? I remember before the internet, buying stuff from overseas (mail-order catalogs, magazine subscriptions, etc) we all used money orders for payment.
Anyway, Picsel is nice and all, but I don't like how Sharp ties it to the memory card.

Yeah, I don't like the fact it's on a 512mb card.
This will be the most I've spent on a software package since I bought CorelDraw 5.0
I'll just have figure out how to install any extra stuff on my 3.7gb free hdd3. Or use my CF card for extra stuff. Right now I have everything installed on internal memory. I asked in the Cxxxx forum if the GUI installer could be made to recognize the hdd3, but I guess the only solution to install to hdd3 is commandline. The GUI installer recognizes FAT SD/CF cards, I don't see why it won't recognize the hdd3.
Anyway, it would be nice to have the browser installed into memory or hdd3.
