Hi,
I'm a newbie, so perhaps I have a little bit a stupid question
I hope you can help me.
I have put the Cacko 1.23 rom on my C1000 via a SD card. Later I wanted to restore the original Sharp ROM. At the end of the restore, the green line was almost to the right, there came an error on the screen: Restore ... failed file read error.
Then I've tried the Nand from Trisoft and it failed too.
Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks.

Petra,
maybe you picked a bad card. The service menu is a bit more
fussy about the cards compared to the normal usage. So even
cards that work fine with QTopia may not work for NAND
operations.
Try another one (preferably a CF card) and cross fingers.
If it's not the card, then it looks very much like a faulty NAND
chip. In this case, you should contact your dealer for a
warranty replacement / repair.

Thanks Marc.
I've restored an original Japanese ROM. The Zaurus gave me a "file read error" again but after reboot it worked. Later I've installed a little program to convert Japanese to English (from Conics.net).
