This looks like something that would be *really* useful for pdaXrom...
http://www.phonegaim.com/faq.html (http://www.phonegaim.com/faq.html)
Does anyone know if there's an ipk for this already? Linspire has evidently released the source at http://www.linspire.com/download_package_s...pire0.13.tar.gz (http://www.linspire.com/download_package_source.php?filename=phonegaim_1.0.2-1.0.0.50.linspire0.13.tar.gz&url=http://10.0.0.84:80/cnrPackageServer.php?fileLocation=/linspire/pkgsrv/pool-src%2Fp%2Fphonegaim/phonegaim_1.0.2-1.0.0.50.linspire0.13.tar.gz)
Cheers,
Randall

P.S. I looked at the site because i was looking for a free alternative to Skype, as it doesn' t give the source. Yes it' s cool!! It' s the same as Skype but with the source code, so i will sure try to port.

Ok found the problem i' m compiling it, but as phonegaim is based on linphone or better is a gaim-linphone utility it needs linphone installed.
So i have to compile linphone too.
I' m doing it, stay tuned i'll let you know.
BYEZ! :-)

Right, linphone compiled on my feed.
But for phonegaim we have to wait for a stable libosipua release from the linphone CVS.
Byez!

UHM.... as it' s a sip protocol based, it would be easy to port, but i didn' t find sources only binaries packages on the site.
If you find sources, tell me where and i will try to cross-compile it.

Sorry, my mistake, it is based on open standards (sip etc) but is NOT open source ;-(
Ho hum, just keep battling with kphone, which I have very nearly got working... Whether or not at the end it will actually be usable, I don't know!
BTW, I have heard good reports about Ekiga for which source code is available at http://www.gnomemeeting.org/ (http://www.gnomemeeting.org/). How about having a go at porting that?
Regards
John
