I just did a search for "picsel" in pdaxrom subforum, and got NO results.
Does Picsel Browser work in pdaxrom?
I just spent a lot of $ on this and would like to know if it works on pdaxrom
If it doesn't work on pdaxrom, I'll stay with the Sharp/Cacko ROMs for now
Thank you,
Jon

I really doubt it will. It probably is only compiled for the officially Sharp supported ROM, ie Sharp ROM.

Meanie, it works in Cacko
But it wont accept mimetypes.
I've been trying to associate pdf with it according to your instructions,
but it doesn't seem to use the desktop file, although this file is present in
/home/QtPalmtop/apps/Applications/picsel-browser.desktop
Thank you,
Jon

Cacko is just a modified Sharp ROM to put it in simple terms. It has other great enhancements, but when it comes down to the underlying system, it uses the same qtopia libs as sharp rom.
As for associating pdf files, you need to remove all references to pdf from all the other .desktop files so your picsel desktop file is the only one and you need to reload the desktop files by running the tabconf tool and saving the settings in there.

Got it to work. I wasn't putting a space between the '=' and other words.
I had it like this:
MimeType=application/pdf;text/pdf
MimeTypeIcon=picsel-browser
But this is what worked:
MimeType = application/pdf;text/pdf
MimeTypeIcon = picsel-browser
Jon
EDIT: This only works half way.
Clicking a *.pdf file launches Picsel Browser, but doesn't "Open" the PDF file.
Picsel opens the default document.
The default document is user selectable in the prefrences toolbox within Picsel.
