Title: No Way To Sync Zaurus & Linux?
Post by: tirant on March 13, 2006, 05:17:21 am
Ok, I have been reading documentation, forums, etc... for a couple of days trying to found out if it was possible to sync Sharp(or cacko) standard roms (with the standard pim apps) with Linux (evolution).

It is no possible, isn't it?

Multisync doesn't work with standard zaurus (at least without installing opie pim), and qtopia desktop doesn't sync with Evolution, and it's not open source, AFAIK.

As far as I'm aware there has been no effort put into making DTM pims sync with evolution using Multisync or anything else. Most effort has gone into kdepimpi unless you need something very specific from Evolution I suggest that you try kdepimpi (runs on desktoop and on pda).

Note that if you were thinking about Multisync from Evolution running against an Exchange server that doesn't work anyway... for Multisync to work the data files must be kept locally.

Thanks for the answer  I have recently discover someone was trying to work on reverse-engineering DTM Pim apps:

Im going to check the status of the project and ask if some help is needed. I'm not an expert reverse-engineering protocols but it's never late
