Title: Qpenmapfe For 640x480 Screens?

Does anyone have a qpenmapfe nmap for the 640x480 screen zaurus?  it is driving me nuts trying to use it sideways.

Hi

I have edited the code for qpenmapfe and altered the layout of widgets etc.  to display in 640x480 mode.

The resulting package is downloadable from [a href=\"http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/drahthaar/Z/qpenmapfe_1_0_0_arm.ipk]Here on my site[/url]

I have tested it on my C860 and it displays OK

Remove your previous package first and install this one.  The desktop file is different to force a landscape (640x480) display.

Hi

The package installs fine, check the size, it should be 13870 bytes.

For some reason a lot of browsers seem to pad out downloads causing corruption.
It has happened to me several times.

Delete your cache and download again or try another browser.

ipkg used by Package Installer is pretty useless,

run tar tvvf ./qpenmapfe_1_0_0_arm.ipk from a console having cd 'd to wherever you downloaded the file and that will tell you if it is corrupt.

I have just tested a downloaded copy again to be sure.
This is what you should get:-

Just tested downloading with Firefox - download size 20480!!!!!!!!!!
Downloaded with Konqueror - download size 13870

I like Firefox but have had a lot of problems with downloaded .ipks since I started using it and there is why.

ok, thanks.  Netfront couldn't even download it.  I finally got it by using Opera and even Opera changes it to a .tar file name.  Strange, must be your provider doing something funny.

Anyway thanks!  It looks great.

Same here with Firefox and windoze.
Filesize: 20480
Then I used Flashget, (download manager)
Filesize is correct: 13870

Also when checking it with winrar, you can see the difference.

Pic #1 is the correct filesize, downloaded with Flashget.
Pic #2 is the incorrect filesize, downloaded with Firefox.

I'll keep this information for later downloads that seem to have unknown problems.
