Title: Odd Netfront V3.1 Error Message?
Post by: Jon_J on March 19, 2006, 06:39:32 pm
I re-flashed to CackoLite 1.23 yesterday, and have installed several applications.
I installed netfront_3.1-lite-2_arm.ipk from the cacko feed at:
http://web.mol.ru/~zaurus/feed/ (http://web.mol.ru/~zaurus/feed/)
It was working fine until today. I have an SL-C3100
It just gave me the following error message and closed:

"You cannot execute NetFront v3.1 on models other than SL-C3000."

I cannot start it now. I just uninstalled musicplayer, but I don't think that should effect Netfront.
I use it only for offline htm/html reading.
I also have Picsel Browser installed. I did NOT install Opera.
This is weird behaviour. Is it a license issue?

thank you,
Jon

I thought it could be an issue with enabling /hdd3 in the Files Tab,
mount -o bind /hdd3 /hdd3
because when I rebooted, my Z froze, and I had to remove the battery.
I just uninstalled Netfront and re-installed it. It's working now.

It also didn't have any problems with the above enabling of /hdd3 in the Files tab.
I have been trying to see which programs can access /hdd3 with above command.
Netfront, Kino2, Imagepad, now all have the extra drive icon that lets me browse /hdd3.
Without enabling /hdd3, the above 3 programs can only access /hdd3/Documents and above.
They cannot access the root of /hdd3
