Title: File Corruptions C3000 Beta2
Post by: themist on March 30, 2006, 03:03:27 am
Hi,

I have mastered the installation of pdaXrom on C3000 as I am doing it over and over again.

I have installed all new init, halt and ide.opts files. I am getting a working system, with fsck and e2fcsk at startup.

After few reboots, the file system is corrupted and not abled to recover. PCMCIA subsystem not loading, and fsck reports duplicate inotes whick supposely is fixing, but even on a new reboot command after startup and login to command prompt, the same message about the same inotes appears on the screen.

Only solution, to reflash and start from scratch...

Any help will be appriciated.

fsck will fix minor problems but for major ones you will need to run it manually.

just boot holding the D+B so you get into the emergency console
then run e2fsck -f -p -y /dev/hda1
reboot

Many Thanks,

I will try to fix it like this on the next upcomming corruption....!
Any idea what is causing that?

I will try tonight to change the settings of the ext3 mode. maybe this will sort it out. I have read that some labtops are having an issue with ext3, but this is a hardware problem with their catch and is not down to ext3...
