Has it been suggested before that the currently available SNES emulator in OZ (snes9x) be replaced? Snes9x is out of date and no longer in development, and also very, very difficult to configure.
I personally would suggest zSnes as a replacement (it's currently under development, easily configurable with its own menus, and compatible with more roms than any other I know of). Would it be possible to add that to OpenEmbedded, or does that not work because parts of zSnes are written in assembly? If all that has to happen is to add the source to OE, I would almost be willing to learn how to do that if it gets me my SNES fix.

Noone added znes into OpenEmbedded so it does not landed in OpenZaurus. Will look into this later.

The zsnes package is not portable to non-i386 architectures because of the fact that most of it is writen in i386 assembly.

Fah. Thought so. That's a pity. Thanks for looking into this, though.
