I tried putting this combination together and in opie the card configuration comes up and then after that the system locks up on the next thing I click on. In gpe the system locks upon insertion of the card. Is there something I'm missing in regards to wifi usage here?
I know the carfd works with stock 1.32 rom.

I don't know alot about linux. I could use my winxp laptop to do this if I knew what program to use. I don't even know if it is getting an IP from the router and what it is. I guess I could check the router's IP table for that though.. sorry, just typing to myself I guess...

This card ought to work afaik.
Get ssh for winxp (free version) here: http://www.ssh.com/support/downloads/secur...commercial.html (http://www.ssh.com/support/downloads/secureshellwks/non-commercial.html)
Install that first. Then post the output of 'ifconfig' on the Zaurus once it's connected, and 'ipconfig' (note these two are supposed to be different) on the WinxP box when it's connected and we'll see where we go from here.
Hmm, as I'll be away for most of this weekend, you could try looking at these instructions (look for ones that are specific to your WinXP machine) to setup a connection between the two machines: https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=11785 (https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=11785)
Hopefully that should cover most bases

I actually had a low-power wifi card with my 5600. Tried it on 3.5.2 or 3.5.3, I think. But I got the same behavior. I tried to track down the problem with the OZ developers, but none of them had a 5600. One of them said that his low-power wifi card worked just fine with a 5500. *sighs*
Good news is, the OZ kernel developer has received, or will receive very soon, a 5600, and we're in the process of sending another 5600 to another OZ developer. See this thread:
