I'm just getting into linux, and I'm looking for a Zaurus SL-5600 in the UK. I see there is one a few posts down, but I may not be available to bid on it on the last day, and as they seem to be very rare, I thought I'd ask see if anymore were available.[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=123405\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

Just an opinion from a current 5600 owner. Especially if your're 'just getting into linux', get a 5500 instead. They're more widely supported (we've taken some good strides in that respect for the 5600 lately, but still ...), much more available (there were a lot more made) & cheaper (especially if it doens't work out for you, then not so much of an investment).

After reading some of the 5500 vs 5600 threads, I think you may be right. The only advantage I could see to me having the 5600 is the battery life, but a battery extender would solve that problem just fine
I am now off to see if I can pick one of these up for a reasonable price. I saw a brand-new one for £149.99, but I may have a look at ebay first

I heard about 5500G with german keyboard, but i thought the rest are the same.

Sorry...what I should have said is that I would like to get one with the UK power adapter. Also...I'm not sure how much it would cost to get it into the country. The postage and customs costs for the last device I got sent over ran to around £80.
