Using Hentges rom 3.5.3 and mplayer - my audio drops out after 10 minutes. Consitently 10 minutes. I ripped some movies (that I own) to test out my z as a portable player when I get bored. I encoded the movies as MPEGII video and MP3 audio These play fine on my windows XP machine. When I run them on the Z, the audio stops after 10 minutes. It doesn't matter if I skip forward in the movie, it stops in the same place. The video plays fine, the audio just drops out.
Here are some details - Sharp Zaurus 5000D (yes it plays videos!)
mplayer -nortc -noaspect - framedrop -quiet -quiet - cache 1024 -ac mad - vf mirror [filename]
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your response!
Would I play these in Mplayer with different commands - getting rid of "-ac mad" and the like?
I haven't used any divx stuff in years.
Will

ask in the hentges/openzaurus forum. They have more expirience than I do. I'm just saying that mplayer supports divx codec from v3 to 5

are you using a shareware encoder that's expired and deliberately ruins the output file - try playing the same file back on the machine used to encode it?

No, the file will play fine with different players, it's just in mplayer on my Z that it cuts out. I suppose I could recut the files to be less than 10 minutes each, but that would be some workaround. =)
