Title: Using Root Password Issues
Post by: timvancouverbc on April 28, 2006, 06:50:08 pm
I have a SL-C3100 with Cacko 1.23 and X/QT jumbo squash files mounted on internal (hdd3) drive. I had everything running beautiful. I created a password for root and now my X/QT apps don't work. No big deal I can re-install with no password but I'm not clear on  why the problems. Anyone have ideas on this.

Thanks

I have different password for root and zaurus users set and no problems. xqt runs as zaurus user anyway by default so it shouldnt be the root password being the problem. you  probably can configure sudo to be less restrictive and see whether that helps

Thanks for the quick reply and your input in helping to make this device a pleasure to work with. As it happens, while on the bus ride home I ran the install script again and X/QT was back to running normal.  I suspect something needed refreshing.
