Title: Sync 3.3.6 pre1 with Win2K over wireless
Post by: timpenhey on February 23, 2004, 12:02:46 pm
Has anyone managed to get this working?

I was going to have a look at it tonight, but if someone already has the answer it would save me some time.

A brief search over the archives did not find this.

Thanks,
Tim

Hi timpenhey,

There is a quick tutorial on this located here (http://opie.handhelds.org/wiki/index.php/OpieSyncing).

You will need Intellisync 1.43E, the newer version does not work, as far as I know, with OPIE.

I hope this helps. Take care.

I thought I should also add that I set my desktop\'s IP address to 192.168.2.1 and changed the IP address of my router to something else.  It seems to be hardcoded in somewhere to connect to a .1 address.  Also, make sure to change the sync setting under Security on OZ to Intellisync.

Your zaurus IP can be anything in that same block.  To set the zaurus IP address in Intellisync, edit the file detailed in the link in my previous post and change its permission so Intellisync won\'t change it by itself.  It will still prompt you to change IP\'s upon reboot and after syncing, but it won\'t actually be able to change it automatically, so it will still work.
