Title: Partions And 3.4.5.1
Post by: liberated on April 30, 2006, 05:26:19 am
If I don't need/want a vfat partion on my microdrive, is it still necessary to create a third partion for 3.4.5.1 to install or could I just go for root+home[+swap]?

i am running a root/home/swap and find it works great, when i did an upgrade to the release candidate my home dir was still there which saved me having to fill it up again, but i would prefer to see a root(ro) root(rw) swap with unuion fs so that i dont lose custom settings between rebbots

I have /dev/hda1 (8GB-128MB) ext3
and /dev/hda2 128MB swap

There is a lot of "cannot mount" messages when zaurus starts but otherwise its all fine.
After I added swap to fstab it is switched on automagically on boot.
