Title: Cacko+kino2!=shoutcast
Post by: bluedevils on May 01, 2006, 04:44:11 pm
Hey Guys,

Can someone confirm that they can listen to shoutcast urls through cacko's kino2?

I know I've used kino2 to listen to shoutcast urls before, but I haven't been able to do it on the one installed with cacko.  I've tried running it manually through mplayer and I've disabled iptables.

Nope, I can't do it either.  I just use "shoutcast player".

In some days, I'll release a new shoutcastplayer and shoutcastrecorder package (version h1.0en based on the Ruby scripts which are well-known here).

BTW: Who is the author of that original Japanese Ruby script and who translated it to English? I'd like to put the names into the package control file, in order to make sure that the correct people receive their credits!
