Title: Screen Rotate And Ssh Sl-cxx00
Post by: wylbur on May 05, 2006, 02:29:11 am
I was trying to hack the /etc/init.d/opie script in order to get it to eval ssh-agent and then call the opie ssh keys manager to ssh-add immediately after opie comes up. I've borked the opie initialization, and -force-reinstall opie-task just laughed at me (i.e., no change).

Opie (3.5.4.1-rc2) comes up, but in portrait (this is a SL-C3200). No amount of pushing the opie menu rotate button has any effect. No xrandr, of course, this isn't X. Is there a command line tool to turn opie back to landscape?

Also, what's the correct sequence of running eval `ssh-agent` and then getting the key into memory (ssh-add is how I'd do it in a desktop) so the key is accessible to all apps?  I need a few Z apps to be able to auto-login to my desktop to back themselves up.

TIA -- wylbur.

I dunno about the ssh-agent thing but you can restore /etc/init.d/opie by reinstalling opie-taskbar.

I did the opie-taskbar reinstall, and unfortunately the screen is still rotated. Is there a command line utility in OZ to rotate the screen (like xandr in X-based guis)?
