That lovely Lisa over at pdabuyersguide.com (otherwise knows as \'pdagal\' here on the zug forums) has written up a great review of a few Zaurus killer apps.
here\'s a link to the review (http://www.pdabuyersguide.com/software/Zaurus_software.htm)
great job Lisa!

I\'ve added a few more apps (2 doc readers and FreeNoteQT). Over time, I\'ll keep adding more as I find \'em. Nothing like being a software junkie

Lisa,
Since you mentioned the desire for emacs on the Z, may I suggest \"jed\" (http://zaurus.xavierxeon.de/zaurus.php?gro...ain&topic=tools (http://zaurus.xavierxeon.de/zaurus.php?group=main&topic=tools)). In its (default) emacs mode, I can\'t tell the difference between it and the real thing (at least for editing files).

Thanks, Mike. I just downloaded it I feel right at home now, very nice! I do get odd boxes surrounding menus after hitting \"esc +m\" and selecting a menu item (might have something to do with it being a C860?). I also found two microemacs ports and I\'ll also be testing those too.

Great review! In addition to justReader and Opie Reader - I\'d like to reccomend Gutenbrowser. You can get it from Handango. It\'s a nifty reader for accessing/downloading/reading texts from Project Gutenberg. Its cool!!!

Have you checked out ee (EasyEditor) available from the Zaurus Software Index ?
It is a just another terminal based editor. But is very straight forward to use. Does not have any dependancies, so keeps things simple for the newbie.
