Title: 911

Keep in mind folks that everybody needs to keep an open mind and not jump to conclusion.  It is conspiracy at its best  but just remember that it is media and nothing more but of an excellent entertainment value.

be carefull.  I'ts taking alot of hits.

This seems (to me at least) like a reasonably well put together video. I think its important, though, not to get too hung up on it. The world has moved on, and what is more important to me now is the state of the global economy, which is at the point of collapse.

Even the mainstream media can't ignore it now. The Guardian reckoned the other day that over 1 million Britons would be seeking backruptcy in the immediate future. The BBC carried a story about the UK's Citizen's Advice Bureau concerns that people are already facing a lifetime of debt, with average credit card bills of £13,000. A huge number of these people have annual incomes less than £20,000.

So here's a question ... how can a post industrial economy, which produces nothing, and relies on Chinese cheap labour and consumerism to keep afloat, how does it stay afloat when the consumers finally run out of money?

I don't think it matters whether the video makers are right in their argument, or whether Cheney et al simply took advantage of the situation, if 9/11 was the Cheney Gang's Pearl Harbour - an excuse for a huge leap towards fascism in the form of loss of privacy, no fly lists, id cards, Patriot Act, wars, Halliburton, imprisonment without trial, torture, etc - then what's next if the economy continues to get out of control and these loons begin to feel even less sure of their positions?

Mike.

My wife was telling me about a documentary in which a chef was trying to get students in Britain to eat good-tasting, healthy food for lunch.  The kids wouldn't eat it.  "No, I won't like it," they'd say, and not even taste it!

I think the same principle applies with conspiracy theories.  Many people categorically reject them, without even tasting them (even when they're good for you.)  Of course, some people categorically believe in such theories, without thinking about it, and that'd bad too.  I believe a critical examination of conspiracy theories is a good idea.

It seems to me that you can't disprove a conspiracy theory.  What you can do, however, is discredit it, by, for example, making up an obviously crazy theory, and then implying that all of the theories out there are like this, and you have to be a nutter to believe such things.  People who categorically reject conspiracy theories take comfort in these outlandish ideas.  It is much the same as saying, "Well, I eat burgers and fries, and some people say I should eat something healthy.  One person who says that only eats broccoli and brussel sprouts.  I'm not crazy enough to eat that; therefore, I will not eat healthy food."

There are certainly crazy theories like this regarding the September 11th attacks.  That doesn't mean that they are all this way.  Wouldn't it be something, though, to have really credible people take a stand on the issue?  What would a physics professor have to say about the towers falling at near free-fall speed, apparently from fire damage?  http://scholarsfor911truth.org/ (http://scholarsfor911truth.org/) is a site where they have their say, and I highly recommend it.

At 5:30 in the afternoon on 9/11/01 a 47 story building collapsed in under 7 seconds.  It had not been hit by planes that day.  It was called Building Seven and was located a block away from the two towers.  Most of America has been kept in the dark about this.  Video of the collapse is available at http://www.wtc7.net/videos.html (http://www.wtc7.net/videos.html).  After watching the videos I cannot imagine anything except intentional demolition as the cause of the collapse.

The 911 Commission mentioned Building Seven zero times in their official report.

The word "conspiracy" is a loaded word in today's world.  I would ask that before we label this idea or that idea a "conspiracy" that we look at the facts surrounding the issue.  There are many facts surrounding the events of 9/11 that simply do not agree with the official account of that day.  I for one would like a rational explanation for the collapse of Building Seven before anyone brands me with the "conspiracy theorist" label.

Update:  Steven Jones, a physics professor at BYU and founder of  http://scholarsfor911truth.org/ (http://scholarsfor911truth.org/) has analyzed some steel from the world trade towers and found physical evidence of the use of thermate, an explosive used to cut through steel.

See an interview in which he explains his work here:  http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2842384983834100001 (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2842384983834100001)
