amule for the Z!!!!!
FAN-FSCKING-TASTIC!!!!
That along with the new zpsx will blow my mates away and I'll probably have to implement some security measures to stop 'em trying to tax it!
I was also very happy to see osb-browser in that list! Does it actually work? I tried it under Debian (i found a repository for it), it loaded but it was very unstable and basically unusable. HOPEFULLY this build is different. If it is working OK I'd be very grateful if someone with a Yahoo! mail account could try checking their mail and sending an e-mail from it just to see if its all working.
I thought I might have to wait for gpe-minibrowser to get completed before I could dump cacko (love that phrase!) but this might be what I was waiting for (Firefox takes WAY too long to load on the Z for my liking- as for people who actually use OOo on their Z...)

Dan, i compiled toons of stuff i hadn' t the time to try these days, i tried only gnumeric and firefox and they work.
Now, 41 hours ago libgpevtype should have been fixed with the right link to the new libevent.
So GPE CVS stuff it' s now compilable.
I'm beginning again with the FC4 packages, to see what' s changed in the GPE environment.
After that i will do the rules-ipk to compile for the Beta4 builder.
Now, i compiled the osb-browser because i remebered someone requested it and it should be the base of the gpe-minibrowser, so it should compile, i' ll try.
But remember that other than firefox there are dillo and dillo2, that work in a very good way.
BYEZ!

dillo(2) can't handle mail.yahoo.com, or at least it didn't last time I tried it a couple of months back- I don't think it supports javascript (or was it css, or both?). osb-browser, being based on khtml, shouldn't have any problem with this site. Anyone tried it out with Yahoo! yet?

I tried osb-browser under oz/gpe rc4 tonight- Yahoo! doesn't work and neither does the bookmarks menu. On the plus side, it was the only program I installed that actually ran...

There are several variations of Dillo around. Most of them do support SSL. The one that comes with pdaXrom certainly does. And there are no problems using it to access Yahoo mail - it will "gracefully" degrade to a non-javascript version (unlike some services such as mail.com which mandates the use of javascript).

Well, i tried it on the Beta4, i don' t know why it loads and begin to load the pages.
Now, after loading the main page it segfaults, i don 't know why.
It gave me no errors in compilation, it' s strange.
Amule works perfectly, it will be glad to have your Amule browser elsewhere with your Zauri, HIHIIIHI!
Another strange thing, it' s that Firebird and Thunderbird work perfectly on Beta4 but Sunbird don' t.
Well, i tried the Download manager of the Firefox and it works perfectly, yes the only problem it 's about 30 sec loading, but rendering is logically the best.
Byez!
