I seem to have a strange problem with my Z.
The only way I can get it to power up is by soft-resetting it. After that the Z works fine. Has anyone else had a similar or the same problem?
If so how do I fix this? It is most annoying. I dont want to have to re-install the Z, thats takes time.
HELP

What Z do you have?
What Rom are you running?
Does this occur after a suspend?
I know I heard problems with shutting down using "shutdown -h now"...
I never used it because I heard of the trial and error you have to go through to get it to come back on....
Give us some more info...

I have an SL-5500
128MB CF card
128MB SD Card
I am also running sharp ROM 3.13
It happens after I suspend my Z. I just press and hold the on/off button. After that the Z does not power up.
I rarely use the terminal so I dont use command shutdowns.

I seem to recall this happening a lot while I was running Sharp 3.13 on the old 5500, but with Maslovsky's kernel. Did you by any chance install the CACkO kernel per [a href=\"https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=3323&hl=kernel]this thread[/url]?

Ihad not tried to update the kernel.
I will do that now and let you know what happens.

Just to let everybody know,
After updating the kernel, the Z has started to work fine.
Thanks for all your help.
