So a 'Friend' of mine broke the screen on my Sim pad...The LCD and back light are intact. But the touch sensor is shattered. I disassembled the pad and found that there are no model numbers on the touch screen. Does any one know what kind of screen it is? or even better ware i may be able to order something like that?

At the same situation as you, I bought one of those cheap swisscom ISDN simpad models (~150 eur).
They are new and come with a charging cradle, a few stylii and a power adaptor.
I changed the whole screen and still have a spare battery, front and back cases, etc if anything else breaks.

If you can figure it out it would be cool to inform us.
I will add the information to opensimpad.org

Actually i think i am close, I have an E Mail dialog going with 3M at the moment.
The Controller the simpad uses is semi universal, so my job is much easier. The replacement will probably not be to expensive. Just finding the damn thing is difficult. I managed to find an American distributer, once i figure out exactly what part i need and verify that it works, ill get a list of distributors from 3M.
Just think of the countless simpad lives this could save!
