I'd be quite happy if this little device ran Linux... At under 2 pounds, it had a lot going for it: 512 MB RAM, 30 gb HD, USB 2.0, Ethernet 10/100, and RJ-11 ... and supposedly a cost of $800 in Q4. The only blemish is that it runs Win XP Home.
Think it could run Linux?

I see it uses a celeron M processor... as long as it is the same x86 celeron M that is in a laptop then I would say yes... it would run...
getting it to run good would be the problems (Drivers that is...)

Sweet. Now if only we had more specs available to figure out what the hardware is...

good competitor for the sony, maybe that'll drive the price down.
side note, the keyboard looks alot more "ergonomic" for typing.

Interesting ... the first 'news' flash of this model stated its price to be $599 ... now its $800 ... bummer!
That is pretty hefty if you ask me.

yeah..competition for the pepperpad, not the zaurus. That thing will NOT fit in a pair of jeans...and $800 is a lot to spend on a portable

Yeah ... most agreed. It's more vs pepperpad ... though pepperpad has the advantage of instanton support.
