Couple questions: Can an SL-C3100 or 3200 have its drive removed and behave like an SL-C1000? If so, has anyone done so and then put a bluetooth or wifi CF card into the internal slot?
I've seen the amazing thread (https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=13562) where they've added USB dongles into the empty space of the SL-C1000, but I don't have that much combined hardware and software hacking talent. I could probably snap off an antenna and solder wires to relocate it, etc... but not much beyond that. I was just thinking this might be a cool way to get some sort of Internal wireless that's as well supported as everyone else who uses the chosen CF card.

why would you want to do this? i dont really see the point since you can just stick them into the external cf slot.
anyway, i dont think there is any cf wifi card that would fit inside anyways, but the socket bluetooth will fit inside.
but in order to get it done, you would need to hack the bootup scripts to ignore the internal cf and not complain and die, then you would need to hack the pcmcia and bluetooth scripts to use the internal slot instead of the external slot. and don't even think about using buetooth and wifi at the same time, you would need to hack even more scripts.

perhaps all new threads should be require a moderator to sign off, and can be rejected with "see the wiki"
