Well, we all know that this topic comes up from time to time. But, now it seems we are in a new age. I own a c3200. I switched to OE GPE from pdaxrom because stability is an important thing to me and, so it kernel 2.6. From what I've heard 2.6 supports usb video cards and the like. Has anybody tried a usb to vga adapter now?

In this [a href=\"http://dominion.kabel.utwente.nl/koen/cms/index.php/v/Koen/confs/slugdag2006/IMG_2128.jpg.html?q=gallery]photo[/url] marceln is reconnecting the beamer to his linksys NSLU2 using a usb->vga adapter. It works and all the drivers should be in OE. You can check http://www.nslu2-linux.org/wiki/HowTo/AddVGAAdapter (http://www.nslu2-linux.org/wiki/HowTo/AddVGAAdapter) for some more hints.

I was under the impresion that this thing checked for high speed usb connections (480Mbits)

from my understanding meanie tried it awhile ago. It wasn';t fully supported and the frame rate was low and was only good for presentation-like things. Now,with the new support with 2.6 I was wondering if it allowed the frmerte to be increased.
I think meanie is using pdaxrom... regrdless, they are on 2.6 as well... wonder i he hs tried it out....

I dont think it will ever be fast enough for good output from usb to vga... or with the CF to XGA unit... I mean... slides might switch smoother...
I dont seen our Z's ever being able to play a movie via usb or cf... since all the rendering will need to be done on the Z itself...

if you do the calcs you can see that it is imposible to do anything that is high motion, usb is not fast enogh to do it and CF chews into your rendering power
we need more bandwidth, USB high speed would be perfect
