I have installed Open Zaurus to an SL 5500. Now I show the following.
Total Memory 62412 kB
Used 10124 kB
Buffers kB
Cached 12256 kB
Free 40004 kB
Internal Storage /dev/root
Used 14352 kB Available 112 kB
SD Card
Used 12368 kB Available 226822
Inspite of showing free memory when I try to save data to the device it says no memory left. I have tried creating a local user account but it will not write to /home.
Can someone please describe the procedure for moving /home to the SD card?
Hope this is not to basic a question. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Use the Hentges ROMS and the cfs. It prompts you if you want root on the sd card. I did have a similar problem, even with the Hentges ROM (http://hentges.net/index.html). The problem turned out to be my sd card. After replacing my card all went well.

miskinis: Hentges 'ROM' is also OpenZaurus - just changed in some places.

Hi, I was referring to:
[a href=\"https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=20251]https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=20251[/url]
I might be partially to blame, as I pointed the user to the OZ forums, in order
to "find" additional information/posts...
Perhaps an AI-based post watcher/mover/notifier would be useful for situations
like this.

Assuming you tried to save on /, you don't have much space - only 112kb in fact, and this is not enough for the jffs2 filesystem to work its magic.

Thanks for the advice. Would rather check the appropriate forum to see if someone has solved a similar problem without a ROM switch. Any advice on where I should go next?

Sending out a thank you to everyone who helped me with my problem. After a few false starts I have installed hentges rom and cfs and everything is working the way I want it to.

Root system must have free space (112 KB is a very low space). The easier solution is install the system on SD (you have some scripts on the latest release of OZ).
