Title: Power Management
Post by: Shoryu on July 01, 2006, 09:29:08 pm
hi, i'm using beta 3
i just wanted to know why powering off is so unstable on pdaxrom
when i use apm -s , it works well in short period, but if i wait too much time, when i come back it freezes after a few seconds.
When i use suspend on the menu , it shutdowns but it's very hard to be able to turn it on again, pressing the on button 1sec and wait 5sec doesn't always work , as removing the battery, sometimes it won't come up.
Is a real solution in work? or is already avalaible?

thanks for your help

Hi,

I don't know what model or release you are running...  I use beta1 on an SL-6000, and
made a few modifications, and it is now absolutely rock solid.  I have not had any issues
for a week or two.  There are several things to "know", and I may setup a site soon,  but
I am still hunting for a non-advertisement-required web hosting site, that offers FTP
access.  In the meantime, you can weed through the forums, and/or post the model
and release you are using.

UPDATE: I apologize, I missed your note about using beta3.  I use beta1 since it is
the latest release available for the SL-6000, sorry.    Forums are a little tough to read
on small screens.
