Title: oz 3.3.6 initial experiences- questions sl-5600
Post by: Anonymous on February 27, 2004, 03:09:28 pm
Hi,

I finally made the transition from my Sharp rom to open zaurus 3.3.6 and ....  have some questions problems comments.

1) Battery status icon: shows percentage battery remaining: 10 (seems font is probably off) so you cant fit it all on screen???

2) oxygen: dont know what this app is but could not locate?

3) I also encountered clock problem, and the screen issue where you needed to echo 1 ] /proc/sys/kernel/printk. Any fixes yet for clock problem?

4) Best place for new themes ?

5) When it boots I found some peculiar messages come scrolling by as well..
 cramfs: wrong magic
fat bogus log sector size 381
 modprobe cant locate module devinfo

I havent set up networking yet but wanted to bounce this off the group.

THanks

jumped the gun before reading  so figured out first two but not sure why oxygen doesnt work yet but not a biggie. On to do more research.

1) changed font from default and works

2)  oXygen is an XML editor that supports any XML document, and works with XML Schemas, DTDs, Relax NG schemas, and NRL Schemas. It has powerful transformation support that allows you to edit XSLT and XSL-FO documents and to obtain documents in the desired output format (such as HTML, PS, or PDF) with just one click.

oxygen in oz 3.3.6-pre1 is simply broken. it\'s fixed in opie cvs, but there are no later builds for the 5600 and the c7x0 available. oxygen is a perodic table of elements written by the Opie translator and chemistry student Carsten Niehaus. It\'s pretty cool but a specialists app, so you will probably not miss it
