Title: Dual Boot A Trisoft Rom & Oz3541
Post by: alban42 on July 05, 2006, 03:12:17 am
After a little reading I am Under The Impression That Installing OZ To The HDD Does Not Touch The Flash memory
( have Re Partitioned The HDD ) as per the Install Instructions
so how can i get my Z 3200 to boot from the flash ??

I have a commercial app that  was compiled for the early zaurus roms that runs ok on the trysoft rom and as the sharp-compat libs are no longer supported /provided
it womnt run on oz

if i cannot dial boot from the flash / hdd can i dual boot ftom a sd card /flash ??

Unfortunately we have to touch one flash partition to put our nice kernel 2.6 into. I recommend using AltBoot or trying kexec or trying to help sashz finishing u-boot for the Zaurii.

Or persuade the vendor of that commercial app to get a clue...

sharpcrap into flash, OZ to hdd, OZ kernel to flash

boot into OZ, use kexec to boot sharpcrap kernel into sharpcrap
