Probably can buy screen protectors
or comes with a case

You mean like the Zaurus SL-5600?

Their design is interesting but this is too big for a pocket.

If anything is bigger than my pocket, might as well buy a laptop.  At least i can stick my z in my pocket and pull it out like a wallet and not worry about the screen getting damaged.

Seriously folks.  Current designers lack imagination.

Most PDA have thier screen without protection and you have to use other solutions to protect them, from palm to sharp, from hp to qtek.... As you said, there's a big lack of imagination.

This device is a bit too sharp.

I think I'd prefer the Sony Vaio UX option if I was going to go this large.

On that you could run Linux, though I don't know if anybody's booted Linux on this thing yet.
Probably they have.

It's pricier than a Z, and running Linux I think you'd have some work ahead of you getting all the hardware to play nice. But it's a full-on toy that thing.

I personally will be going for a 3200 I believe.

currently struggling with a Collie.

don't think it can be a contender for a Zaurus, but it might be able to kick the OQO's a**

You're probably right, unless OQO get their act together and release a cheaper, faster variant, they're likely to end up as an also ran when UMPCs really start coming in all shapes and sizes.
