Title: Console Pim?
Post by: daniel3000 on July 06, 2006, 03:48:57 am
Hello,

does anyone know a good console PIM application (which manages at least todos, good would be also appointments and contacts)?

I'm considering such a solution because switching between different kinds of Linux PDAs and also switching between different Zaurus ROMs would be easier then.
No incompatibility between GUI PIM programs and the GUI system anymore.

thanks
daniel

Wakeup depends on the OS you're using.

Long time ago I've used pdaXrom and there you are able to create a script which return  the number of minutes the PDA felt into sleep. After that it will wakeup automatically. It's possible to use remind in a batch script to check out the next timed event and calculate the minutes until then. So the PDA will wakeup just before the timed event occures.

Now I'm using OpenBSD and wakeup (better: apmsleep) is not possible

  Greetings,
