Post by: znoobie on July 12, 2006, 03:58:53 am
well, i really donno that much about Linux, my c3100 is meant to be a powerful PDA. I had cacko rom 1.23, and everything worked fine, but i installed a pkg that suppose to add usb mouse suppport to cacko 1.23 (i thought it already has it, but when i pluged in my mouse nothing happened) but anyways, after that i restarted my Z, it won't boot anymore, so i decide to give OZ/Opie 3.5.4.1 a try, but realized that OZ really isn't for me, at least not untill i learned how to use Linux, but when i try to switch back to cakco rom, it had problem with HDD and won't boot, so someone please help me!!! I really donno much about linux, so if u say things like mount this then mount that.....i won't know what to do, so please tell me what commond to ues, and how. thank you guys sooo much.

If you want, I can guide you through the process in restoring your z back.  takes about 1 to 3 hours depending on whats going on.

If you get back to Cacko 1.23 (full), don't install any mouse support files, as they are already included in Cacko full.
I have Cacko 1.23 Lite installed and the below file adds mouse support to Cacko Lite.
input-modules-2.4.20_1.23-lite-1_arm.ipk
Notice the "1.23-lite" in the filename?
Any ipk files on the below feed that has "1.23-lite" in the filename, means it is meant for the lite version of Cacko, and is already included in the full version of Cacko.
Here's a description of it and the feed url where it is located:
