I haven't seen Sashz around here to much recently... I know with the whole fulltime job thing it is hard...
but... I'm getting a lil worried... I even tried OZ/GPE today... within 5 mins I flashed back to beta3 because I OZ didnt meet my needs (this is the kind version of what I realy mean)
Just seeing if there is any progress being made... from Sash or anyone that might be working on the ROM...

Keep up the good work!!!
Edit.. my spelling sucks!
-
i've been doing some testing to the pdaxrom-builder..
recently the svn for pdaxrom-builder seems to be updated by sashz..
So i guess he is still working on the new beta but not frequent as before..
-
hehe
yes, i working for beta5 now:)
So, it's coming soon.
-
Good to see your still working on it... hope the job is going good... I know with the recent posts of people offering help to pdaXrom... I was wondering if we could get an updated list of the current developers...
I know that Zumi is working on the python apps... Laze I believe is the release manager... you (sash) doing the general developement...
Anyone Else?

Suggestions for assistance with the project....
(#) means the suggested amount of people doing the position
Web Developement (3)
Makes routine changes to site, wiki, etc
Python Developer (1 or 2)
Work on better'ing the system setting apps
(Date/time, CPU Overclocking, Networking Apps)
Kernel Developer(1)
This will in most cases be Sashz
Forum/IRC "Help Desk" (3-6)
A set few dedicated forum members that will have access to and learn the insides and outs of how everything work... so that the devs can worry more about developing the rom then answering questions
Bug Tracker Admin(1)
Tracks all bugs and prioritizes when each brought up bug and be fixed or plan out fixes for new releases...
Bug Debugger(1 or 2)
Figures out what is needed to fix a bug and coordinate with Sash and the rest of the DEV team on how he fixed the bug...
Release Manager (1)
Thanks to Laze... (I think that is what you do... Sorry if i'm wrong)
All teams coordinate with each other but sashz still is the center point of all development.
I by no mean am trying to call out for people to make this there fulltime position... but just help out with the community...
Let me know what everyone thinks about this... but no flaming from other ROM devs please...

hey, great to hear some news! PDAXROM is great. Keep up the fantastic work sash.
As a side note note: InSearchOf I miss your old icon! Come on now, ducks are far better than illuminati propaganda hehe

Looking for some input from the community, dev's... anyone...
423 views... 5 posts...
It seems as if there are a lot of people interested...
I mean if anyone doesnt feel comfortable posting PM me just stating what slot you could fill and/or and comments you have on this idea...
What I would like to do it fill all these spots with people that would like to help then repost with the spots filled to show interest and help avaliable... I will even keep it anonymous until a decision on the dev side is made...
I, by no means, am trying to get on anyones bad side... or trying to steal any power from the project... just trying to offer help... if help is not wanted let it be know and leave the issue alone...

Great news!
BTW, I'm still waiting for beta4 for C7x0/C860 to be fixed. But if beta5 has the fixes and some cool new features, I would like to wait some more.

Alright... I will just leave the issue alone....

Probably, if someone want try help in main developing, i can add r/w account to svn.
-
I would love to help, but I knopw virtually nothing about coding. If I could help some other way leave me a message here or pm me, insearchof

i suggest all the package contributors to submit rules-ipk file for their package to release manager or qa manager for test and to be added to the pdaxrom-builder svn repository..
-
Glad to see some progress being made... Hopefully this will all follow through... With hopes of bettering the "OUR" rom.. or flash image to be politicly correct...
But COME ON GUYS 933 Views and only 12 posts(including the one I'm typing now)
I mean... I know there are a lot of people out there with opinions on this... good or bad...
Post away...

Sorry to be pessimistic, but I think that probably 800+ of those views are bots and people searching for something completely unrelated. There really aren't all that many people out there heavily using pdaXrom, even if they should be
To be a little more on the helpful side, I would venture to suggest that some of the biggest issues that have been reported here on the forum are related to configuration and those lovely python configuration applets. I understand [a href=\"http://mail.pdaxrom.org/soc/]Zumi is rewriting[/url] a lot of this stuff, and according to the link time for testing is coming up soon. And everyone can help out with testing...
Also, as sashz pointed out, anyone who is keen to get seriously into the nuts and bolts can now get svn access (way above my head though).

Hello
I will try reconfigure all my contrib packages implement to normal pdaxrom feed.
Is there any docummnetation how to make it? I build those packages by compliation on Zaurus ... no crosscompile.
-
Sashz offers cvs access to potential pdaXrom devs!!!
I think this is probably the greatest bit of Z related news since pdaX (or OZ) went 2.6
Way to go sash- anyone took you up on the offer?
PS I might be buying my own c3000 today making us a 2 Z household

The keymapping of Beta4 seems to be very messed up. Xev simply shows completely different mapping. After modifying the keymap, the Menu key (supposedly mapped to XF86Start) and right click do not function anymore. Tried with other Z friends but still to no avail. Meanie's mod keymap doesn't work for me either. Really hope this is gonna be fixed in the upcoming Beta5.
(drum rolling ...)
