I've recently moved from Cacko to the new OZ release (3.5.4.1) for the Spitz. I'm running the Opie Rom and have been experiencing a problem where I can not resume after a suspend. You press the power button but the screen remains blank I do see lights flashing on my bluetooth usb dongle but that's it. The only way to recover is to removing the battery and reboot with the power cord connected.
I did some testing and the suspend / resume seems to work okay so long as the power cord is connected to the Z. I did noticed the following message with dmesg.
hci_usb 1-2:1.0:no suspend for driver hci_usb
If I suspend with power connected and then remove power and resume it does resume but a few seconds (maybe 15) later the screen goes dark and I can't get it to come alive with out removing the battery. Even plugging in the a/c connection has no effect (charging light doesn't even come on unless you reset).
I've seen resports of similar problems but no solutions. Should I enter this as a problem on the bugtracker?
Thanks,
Randy
More investigation has indicated that this behavior is independent of my usb bluetooth dongle. I removed the dongle and suspended while on battery power. I then resumed and it came back to life. I closed the lid put it down, a minute later picked it up and trying to power it on and no response. It was back to removing the battery and connecting the power cable. Seems the only mode this works in is with the power cord connected

I was surfing around to see if anyone else was having trouble with suspend feature of the new OZ Opie rom too.
I have also noticed the suspend feature to act up on my C1000. I changed the settings so it suspends when I close the lid. If I reopen the lid and hit the power button to bring it out of suspend the screen flashes on, then turns off. At this point if I hit the "Home" button on the keyboard the Zaurus comes up ok and can continue to work. I don't use any devices at all (other than an SD card). I think we should submit a bugreport.
Have you tried the "Home" button on the keyboard?
thanks,

I don't believe I've tried the Home key. I did hit a bunch of keys but nothing seemed to wake it up. I'll try the Home key and let you know. I did look at the bug submittals and there appaars to be some that have already been submitted that sound like similar problems. Probably just need to append to those.

It seems if I choose choose suspend from the menu, then it turns on without a problem. If I take advantage of the suspend on closing the lid, then I have the resume problem. Does choosing suspend from the main menu make a difference for your 3100?

I get the same effect, that the suspend from the menu appears to work but that seems to be the case if I resume shortly after I suspend. If I suspend from the menu and then leave it for say 30min and then try to resume it behaves just like the closing lid suspend.
