start them in a shell... it tells you which dependency is needed.

wow, thanx that really helps, but when i try to run gaim

i got

Code: [Select]
Inconsistency detected by ld.so: ld-version.c: 228: _dl_check_map_versions: Assertion `need != ((vod *)0)` failed!

when i ran firefox, it didn't even give me an error message, after i typed "firefox" into the concol, it wait a lil while, then the "#" appears on the next line, nothing happens...

maybe i got the run version? i got them from [a href=\"http://www.thegrinder.ws/Meanies_XQT/pdaxqtrom/feed/apps/]http://www.thegrinder.ws/Meanies_XQT/pdaxqtrom/feed/apps/[/url]      (meanie's feed)

actually, i don't really need firefox, it's just dillo is just not good enough, it's really slow at loading sites, i had cacko for a while, and netfront + opera worked perfectly for me, so all i want is a browser that's as good as either one of those. i would be fine with Dillo, but it just won't load sites...it always tells me query is sent, waiting for reply...or something like that......

someone help me please.

I haven't tried installing firefox yet, but I know that in Cacko I couldn't ever get Meanie's firefox to work in pdaxqtrom.  You might want to try another feed.

Which feed are you using? I'm especially interested to get kopi running on pdaXrom.

TIA.

USB mouse works fine for me - no scroll wheel under X (functionality not compiled in) is the only issue. High-powered USB devices need a powered hub, but I doubt any mouse would fall into this category. What are the last few lines of dmesg after plugging it in?

The actual dmesg output may help us to determine what is (or isn't) happening...
