Title: Av700 Resolution 512x304...?

Why is it that when I record a program from my TV that the resolution specs read 512x384 or 512x304 instead of the 640x480 that Archos notes on their tech specs?

Source: Composite
Format: Auto
Resolution: Optimal
Bitrate: 2500
Sampling: 48
