Title: Problems With D-link Dcf-660w Wifi-card
Post by: caprifischer on July 24, 2006, 07:37:20 am
hi there,

i installed openzaurus 3.5.4.1 opie on my sl-c860 yesterday, but i can't get my wifi-card (dcf-660w) working.  opie recognizes it as "anonymous memory" device. dmesg does not give any relevant output.

how can i get the name of the chipset on the card?

somebody already had these problems? thx for your help.

edit: just installed oz 3.5.4.1 gpe, here dmesg says:
Code: [Select]
cs: pcmcia_socket0: time out after reset

What does "cardctl ident" say?

Did you modify your /etc/pcmcia/hostap_cs.conf to correspond with the output of cardctl ident?
You may want to try adding the following to hostap_cs.conf and restart.

  card "D-Link DWL-660 11Mbps WLAN Card"
    version "D-Link", "DCF-660W", ""
    # manfid 0xd601, 0x0005
    bind "hostap_cs"
